Yvonne laid a small hand on the big oak that she sat behind to watch all the creatures gather and talk. She smiled to herself. Very few humans had courage to go, then again not many returned alive. She never went, humans were so against the magical creatures. But she just loved to watch all the magnificent things. Longing so to be one herself. She had spent most her life admiring such things, yet never found herself with the confidence to comfront any of them.
She cowered behind the massive trunk when someone looked over. If she were spotted she'd most likely be in trouble.

Alex was behind the girl. He knew she was human but that only interested him more. He leaned over to her ear and whispered, "Interesting to see a human here."

Yvonne whipped around, only to come facve to face with the familiar gargoyle she had met but a few nights before. "Wait! I know your name!" she put her fists to her temples, "Don't tell me I can do this...Alex?"

She blushed, "Wh-what? I can't go! Someone'll roast me alive," she said, "I just like to watch them, everyone's so beautiful...besides, what good would it be for you if you took a human to the annual festival of luprical? Not very impressive..." She looked back at the creatures all gathered about.

"If you went with me no one would hurt you and you'd get to see it up close and personal. Besides, I don't care what the others think. What do you say?" he replied smirking at her previous reaction.

Echo sighed seeing all these people. ' They will probably call me jackass', he thought looking at his half horse body for a second then at the crowd.

Alister found himself sparwled out on the grass just enjoying the day. He breathed in the smells of the earth and smiled.

Yvonne thought for a moment. Adn the nodded. Her want to see everything up close crowded her judgement of what exactly might happen to her. Besides, she reasoned, if she died, no one in her human life would miss her anyway.

"Alright love, you are my date. Just act natural, like you've been to this kind of thing before." he replied taking her delicate hand in his own and walking past crowds of people so that she could get a better look.

Yvonne took a sharp intake, "I don't think I can do this..." she said moving closer to Alex, pratically walking behind him, but at his side.

"Don't worry. I'm here, I'll protect you." he said assuringly putting an arm around her waist and pulling her closer to him as they walked.

Yvonne wanted to believe him, she desperately wanted to, because she wanted to see everyone. She decided to distract herself, and look at the creatures as she came closer. She looked over at the centaurs, how amazing they looked. And the fauns, such fantastic creatures. She was having a brief moment of ever joy in her mind, and she didn't want it to go away.

As they walked around Alex stopped in front of a faun who was laying on th grass. "Well looky here." he said to the faun. Then turned to Yvonne. "This one looks harmless." he said to her.

She couldn't help but to smile, and looked down at the faun. They were so much more interesting up close then when she admired them from afar.

Maeve walked around, the soft green grass under her naked feet. This was one of her favorite anual events, especially since fauns were creatures close to nature, just like her.
